Zambia’s Gift to the World features captivating images, interviews and music from Christians in Zambia, where the first Orphan Sunday was celebrated in 2002. It also includes glimpses of how Orphan Sunday has echoed out from Africa to inspire Christians around the globe to reflect God’s heart for the orphan.
Along with interviews of leaders from around the globe, much of the program was filmed the week of Zambia’s celebration of Orphan Sunday—which traditionally falls one month before the global Orphan Sunday. An Executive Producer of commercial and long-form production, teamed with an experienced cinematographer, directed the artistic leadership for the project.
The Christian Alliance for Orphans honors the church in Zambia for the gift of Orphan Sunday, and prays that the church worldwide will continue to be inspired by the example of Zambian believers. See the Orphan Sunday History for the remarkable story of how a simple Orphan Sunday in a Zambian church in 2002 has grown into a global initiative with worldwide impact for the orphan.
