My Home, Your Home Inc.

► 20 YEARS OF SERVICE TO CHILDREN, ADULTS AND FAMILIES

My Home, Your Home Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1989 by Irma and Aubrey Walker.

Our initial program, established in 1993, helped abusedand neglected children in the foster-care system. We have expanded into programs serving nearly 900 children and adults annually.

We have 60 employees, 2 offices locations and 2 residential facilities.

My Home, Your Home Inc. has been awarded full accreditation by the Council on

Accreditation, of New York City, affirming that we meet national standards.

PROGRAMS AND ANNUAL CLIENT COUNTS

■ 72 homeless/abused women annually get help at LISSY’S PLACE, where they receive shelter and assistance with life skills, schooling and jobs

■ 94 severely abused and neglected children annually are in TREATMENT FOSTER CARE, which finds homes and trains/supervises foster parents

■ 126 children with severe emotional and mental health needs annually are in WRAPAROUND CARE, which helps both the children and their families

■ 75 adolescent boys annually get shelter and attention at AMAD’S PLACE, a group home. Because of parental maltreatment or emotional/behavioral problems,

they could not remain in their home or foster home.

■ 509 adults recovering from alcohol and drug abuse annually are in ACCESS TO RECOVERY
