Lifesong for Orphans – bringing joy and purpose to orphans!Our name, Lifesong for Orphans, is inspired by Isaiah 61:1-3 where God says He wants to replace ashes with beauty, give joy where there is mourning, and instill hope where there is despair. In a beautiful and descriptive way Isaiah 61:1-3 shares how God turns adversity and struggle into strength and victory! That’s really what we are about – helping to turn despair into strength, joy and victorious living! A “Lifesong” for the children, if you will…
Overview of Ministry Activity
LifeSong for Orphans works to break cycles of hopelessness in orphans lives by creating in-country solutions for approximately 1300 orphans to become strong Christian leaders in Ukraine, Zambia, and India through: Christian schools, in-country adoption/foster care, transition homes, job-skill training, and Christian mentors.LifeSong for Orphans also provides innovative tools to help remove the financial barriers to adoption. Adoption Matching Grants leverage funds and serve as a catalyst in raising money to cover adoption expenses. Interest-Free Loans maximize stewardship by helping overcome the initial ‘cash-flow crunch’ that many couples face, and can help new adoptive families as loan repayments are made (creating a self-sustaining fund). Lifesong has helped bring nearly 500 children into adoptive families through Grants and Loans.
One method in carrying out this mission is to “empower and equip those uniquely positioned by God to make a difference in children’s lives”! Lifesong helps design ‘turn-key’ solutions to help churches and individuals in the US to become actively engaged in adoption grants/loans, launching local Church Adoption Funds, Church ‘Adopt-an-Orphanage’ programs, Mission Trips, Child Sponsorship, etc. There are men and women strategically placed all around the world and they are gifted with talent, vision and commitment to help children reach their God-given potential – from adoptive parents, to pastors, to retirees, to Christian businessmen and women.
