Mission Statement
The focus of KidsDom is to help the children of Russia. Our mandate is to help where we can with the practicalities of life including education, life necessities, medical issues and friendships. Our goal is to partner with other organizations and institutions to provide a wide base of support for the children at risk.
Overview of Ministry Activity
KidsDom is a 501-3c nonprofit organization whose mission is to support children in Russian orphanages by identifying their specific humanitarian needs, overseeing specific projects aimed at meeting these needs, providing support and training for missionaries, educating potential donors and volunteers, and maintaining relationships with orphanage officials.
We have been working in the area of Moscow and Ryazan, Russia for the past seven years, building bridges of friendship and support with orphanages in that region.
We have provided funds to improve the living conditions at the orphanages including the installation of Western-style plumbing, meeting transportation needs, improving language skills, and generally giving the children a feeling that they are important and loved. We have shipped six containers of humanitarian aid to the orphanages, each holding 16 tons of supplies.
Over the past six years we have operated summer camps at the orphanage. More than 100 Americans have traveled to Russia to spend two weeks living in the orphanage and spending time with the children.
KidsDom has entered into a partnership with Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, and others to provide a computer school in the orphanage at Ribnoe. This program is a pilot project to offer opportunities and hope to the youngsters who otherwise have no future prospects.
Plans and Goals
Our hope is to continue to build relationships with industries to help them in their international education efforts and philanthropy. We will build partnerships with other Christian organizations to work effectively in the areas of Russia that we are called to. We will continue to build our friendships and relationships with the children at the institutions we work with to give them hope and vision for the future.
