Mission Statement

Through committed, loving, relationships, we seek to minister to the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of Ukrainian orphans so that they may become dedicated, godly disciples of Christ.

Overview of Ministry Activity

Safe Haven\'s primary ministry is the post-orphanage transition homes we have in Kiev. We have one home for teenage girls and one for teenage boys. The homes house from 4-6 kids at a time. The children have graduated from various Ukrainian orphanages and spend 2-3 years in our homes as they study in trade schools or college. We endeavor to provide for them social and spiritual training to equip them for successful adult life.

A secondary ministry of Safe Haven is to put on summer and winter camps for government orphanages. Right now, this program involves one orphanage in the city of Kanev. The camps are intended to spark spiritual interest and get the children involved in the local church where long-term discipleship can happen.

Plans and Goals

As God provides workers, we would love to see more homes opened (both post-orphanage transition homes, and also foster care homes for younger children) and more orphanages involved in camp ministries.
