Mission Statement
Radstock Ministries is committed to bringing hope to hopeless situations by motivating and facilitating Christians to act through their local churches to live out their faith in ways that demonstrate care for one another, alleviate the suffering of children, to protect those who are most vulnerable, and through all this bring glory to God. We hope that local churches, large and small, regardless of denomination will take and active and strategic role in global missions.
Overview of Ministry Activity
The Children in Crisis Project (CIC) is one of many projects facilitated by Radstock Ministries. This project helps local churches to reach out to these children who are faced with the devastating conditions of war-torn societies, the AIDS pandemic, and homelessness.
Radstock ministries aims to follow the teachings of Jesus in caring for children who live under these conditions; to be their voice in societies where they would be otherwise overlooked.
Every summer volunteers from churches across the United States and United Kingdom take two weeks to work hand-in-hand with Ukrainians to share the love of Christ with these children. The camp for street children is held at a campground outside of Kiev at the end of July. Radstock provides the training and leadership for these short-term missions, as well as help in coordinating the travel and accommodation.
We also help churches to send skilled workers, such as doctors and teachers, long term to countries to begin programs with local churches that will minister to the needs of children.
Plans and Goals
Over the next several years Radstock Ministries plans to:
- hold trainings for church leaders teaching them how to minister to at-risk children
- expand our work with street children into a drop-in centre
- work towards facilitating family reconciliation and strengthening the families in Kyiv
- establish a primary care medical facility for street children
- network and equip local churches in Kyiv to work with street children in their communities
