Mission Statement
The mission of Heart for Orphans is to support orphans to adulthood and encourage their faith in Christ.
Heart for Orphans ministers to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of orphans in Ukraine by:
Providing God’s refuge for teen orphans through Christ-centered, loving relationships nurtured in family-style group homes,
Preparing and assisting orphans as they transition into adulthood, and;
Raising awareness of these orphans and helping to meet their needs.
Overview of Ministry Activity
Heart for Orphans provides five group homes throughout southern Ukraine. These group homes are staffed by Christian Ukrainian houseparents that have a passion for serving orphans and helping them succeed in life. They are kept small and operate as a family would. The teens learn how to cook, manage their finances, have proper relationships, and serve others. They are provided guidance and encouragement in pursuing employment skills that can give them a brighter future. It is hoped that all of the teens will learn to place their hope in God and know that He is their true Father.
Plans and Goals
The plan for Heart for Orphans is to continue to expand the Christian group home concept for "aged out" teens throughout Ukraine. We will continue to go where God leads us...
